David Garcia Recognized for Business Excellence

ANNAPOLIS, Md., September 21, 2006 – The Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs (OMA) and The Daily Record announced that NMR Consulting, a local IT services provider, and its president and CEO David Garcia have been named one of Maryland’s Top 100 Minority Businesses for 2006. The program salutes Maryland’s best minority and women business owners and highlights their achievements.

A panel of distinguished judges chose David Garcia as an entrepreneur who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in four key areas: business development, client satisfaction, professional affiliations and community outreach.

"I am honored to receive such a distinguished award," said David Garcia. "But it would be difficult to say that any business survives or fails based solely on one person. NMR’s approach is to always do what’s in the best interest of the team."

This team approach has won NMR recognition over the years, and has developed a loyal client base. NMR continues to provide high quality information technology services to some of the same clients it first served ten years ago.

David Garcia was honored at an awards ceremony at the Inn and Conference Center, at University of Maryland University College, in Adelphi, Maryland, on Friday, October 27.
